Grains of Paradise (Guinea)

Grown on a tropical leafy plant of the ginger family and practically unknown in modern Western cuisine, Grains of Paradise have a zesty flavour reminiscent of pepper, with hints of flowers, ginger, coriander and cardamom. 


They are used by people on certain diets, such as a raw food diet, because they are less irritating to digestion than black pepper.


Delightful with monkfish, pan-roasted cod and cracked into a salad dressing.  Sprinkle on grilled pineapple – divine!
